That’s what I did many years ago…..I weighed 330 pounds and hated it! Let me just say, I know what it’s like to not be the popular girl or feel like an outcast.

(As a young nursing student at the time, it took watching my mother die from obesity related complications; as well as my own health and overall wellness deteriorating daily by hypertension and borderline diabetic ails ~~ for me TO GET IT …wake up… and… GET WITH IT!)

Ready for change, all six feet of me began with a step. Walking was my springboard and motivating force to get me eating a healthier diet. Those steps, along with portion control, my extensive personal research into natural healthy food choices, and a real lifestyle change helped me drop well over one hundred pounds within a year… all of which I’ve maintained and kept off for many years through my daily consistent practices of good nutrition and an active lifestyle!

In short, I got my health back (medication free) and I got the life I’d always dreamed of having! My life today includes CEO/President of Ferrer & Company, Inc., a Wellness Organization; Best Selling Author, Nutrition & Life Coach, Motivational Speaker, Professional Model, and Philanthropist.

Since achieving my goal many years ago, my passion is to get people moving on their own weight loss journey…in the same manner I have…one bite at a time, one step at a time, one day at a time…through gentle, sensible, and above all, sustainable practices! Because I was once morbidly obese ~ understanding all too well the challenges and struggles associated with endless dieting to no avail; I have come to master the art of bringing about awareness to how the mind and emotions relate to food ~ knowing that if I can help educate and change how my clients think and respond to life stressors with food ~ your body will fall in line with your desired weight loss goal. Weight loss starts in your mind, not on your plate!

Simply put, there’s a difference between interest & commitment! When you’re interested in doing something, you do it only when circumstance permits; or because it’s a good opportunity. ♥ But when you’re committed to something, you accept/make no excuses, only results! ♥ Desire is the key to motivation, but it’s the determination & commitment to an unrelenting pursuit of your goal ~ that will enable you to attain it!

I believe that you can do anything you set your mind to…with the right support, the right tools, the right attitude!

It was through my own personal experience and journey’s trials that I came to understand that in order to become the person I’d always dreamt of being ~ I was going to have to do things I’d never done before… and so it was back then, and so it continues to be so even now; for the journey of weight loss and maintenance is never ending… and quitting is not an option as far as I’m concerned!

It’s my heart’s greatest desire to share with you all that I have experienced, researched, and/or done to transform myself from a 300+ pound, morbidly obese woman to the woman I am today!
